We don't pass you down a chain of salespeople and project managers. Denis Bourbeau handles every step personally — from the first 3D CAD design session to the final walk-through.

OUR PROCESS
Four steps. One builder. No surprises.
STEP — DESIGN
Sit with Denis. Sketch in 3D CAD.
Most builders show you stock plans and ask which one you want. We do the opposite. You sit with Denis with our proprietary 3D CAD design program open, and we sketch the house you actually want — room by room, on a real floor plan, in 3D you can rotate.
You see exactly what every change looks like before you commit. Want a window two feet wider? It's drawn in seconds. Want to angle the house differently on the lot? The program shows the new view from your future kitchen.
This is design done with you in the room — not a slide deck mailed back two weeks later.
STEP — LAND
Have a lot? We'll build there. Don't have one? Use our Land Match Service.
You don't need to own land yet to start. Bourbeau Custom Homes has a Land Match Service that helps you find an available piece of land to build your dream home on, in the area you want to live.
Once you register on our site, one of our staff contacts you to determine what kind of land would fit your home and your budget. We watch the area and reach out as land comes available — many of our customers found their lot through us, not the other way around.
If you already have a lot, we'll come look at it with you. We'll tell you up front what the site conditions mean for the build.
STEP — BUILD
Subdivision, permitting, and the people who do the work.
Bourbeau handles subdivision and permitting in-house. Once the design is set and the land is ready, our team takes over — coordinated subcontractors, scheduled by Denis, paid by us, supervised by us.
Throughout the build, you have a key to the house. You can stop by whenever you like — many of our customers do, every weekend. The crews are friendly, the job site is left clean every day, and Denis is reachable by phone or email for any question.
Most of our homes finish in 4–6 months from groundbreaking, depending on size and selections. Some have finished in three.
STEP — MOVE IN
Final walk-through. Keys. The home you designed.
On move-in day we walk through every room together. We test every window, every fixture, every outlet. We make sure the home matches the 3D CAD model you signed off on at the start — and that everything works.
Then we hand you the keys. Most of our customers stay in touch with Denis after move-in — for warranty questions, for the next phase, or just to send a photo of the kids in the new kitchen.
We've now had returning customers come back for second homes — the proof of how our first build went.
THE 3D CAD TOOL
Designed for you. Priced for you. Visible to you.
Bourbeau's online selections portal is the layer of the build that other custom builders make you guess at. Once we've set the design, you log into our site and make every selection yourself — cabinets, countertops, flooring, lighting, appliances, fixtures, paint colors. Each option is priced so you see the running total in real time.

This is what 'no surprises' actually looks like. Our customers — who tend to be first-time builders — tell us this is the part of the process that took the stress out.
LAND MATCH SERVICE
Find the lot. Build the home. One builder, one start-to-finish.
It's as simple as 1, 2, 3:
- 1. Register on our site. Once registered you'll receive a contact from one of our staff to determine what kind of land would fit your home.
- 2. We watch the area. As land comes available in the Vermont and upstate-New-York region, we reach out.
- 3. You build with the same team that found you the lot. No middleman, no realtor commission, no waiting for the next builder to be available. Same Bourbeau team, start to finish.

Returning customers.
Chris Mead and Kirstin Simonds first built with Denis in 2010. When they decided to build again, they didn't shop around — they came straight back. We've now built second homes for multiple original customers.
We are returning customers to Bourbeau Custom Homes. Our first experience with Denis was in 2010. We really enjoyed the experience. So, naturally when it came time for us to build again, we did not shop around — we went straight to Denis purely based on our previous experience.
